I would like to test the waters out here, After unsucessfully finding a way to remove door hinge screws without "Screwing" up the hinges in some way I thought that I should see what Ideas are out there.

I have tried Heating with a torch..... Impact driver....... Centerpunch and Drill (Never find the center..) Blasting out with plasma cutter... all to end up with not so desirable results.

Please share any ideas that have worked for you.

I have a damn nice set of '40 ford hinges I need to keep...

I usually use a nut and weld it from the center.

weld a washer to the screw, then weld nut to washer, let cool before turning, usually comes right out.

Grind out the center with a cone shaped burr and then drill it out .

Welding a washer and nut has served me well. Air hammer with a pointed bit has saved me a couple times, too.

for little screws, a dollop of valve grinding compound will give a screwdriver a little extra grip .

  18. good idea but i'll stick with mapp gas and either beeswax or a mix of 50% ATF/50% ACETONE as this has worked 99% of the time. drill only comes out as last resort.

Tried the air hammer trick last night. It does free them up and turn them, but the threads must have taken a hike as the screws just turn and do not back out. Round 2 with the drill tonight.

Shame I saw this too late. Gibbs Brand Lubricant may have saved the thread. It's an amazing pennetrant.
    Good luck
