Sorry to hear about your loss. I just lost my grandpa (a WW2 and Korea vet, also a biker from way back) a couple weeks ago. It's rough, he was my friend and idol as well.

Sorry to hear that, man. Your commentary reminds me how much the smell of Marlboros reminds me of my old man. Your grandfather sounds like a stand-up guy, we're ALL gonna miss having guys like him around.

    RIP

Why wouldn't we care? You're one of us right?

Loss is never easy, family is the hardest. Old gearhead or not he's still your family man. I'm real sorry to hear it.

Now its up to you to carry the torch, live and go fast bro.
I'm here for ya. If there's anything in the world drop me a note.

    JC,

Frequently recalling your fondest memories of your gramps will help you through this trying time. We as a group all care about our brothers on the board, including you.

My condolences to you and yours,

Speaking as a grandpa, when I go, if my grandsons feel like you do and can express it as well, I will have left behind a legacy. What you do from here out will be a memorial to the man who left that inspiration in you. I know it hurts and life will suck for awhile, but sounds like he left behind a good fellow to carry on. My condolences as well.

    true that. Right on.

I'm really sorry for your lost bro. That's a tough thing to be delt. Good thing is, it sounds like you have great memories and a love of cars to thank him for.

My grandad was killed in the war. After a bunch of crap I nearly changed my name...then I read about my grandad. Needless to say I still carry his name...with pride.

We have a lot to thank that generation for and it's very sad to see more and more of them passing on.

Hope you keep those memories close. Take care bro.

  25. Dude, very sorry for your loss, but use it as a starting point, not an end. Stay the course and be someone else's hero someday.-MIKE:eek:

real sorry to hear that. we're losing old skoolers left and right, and its a tragedy. the best thing to do is keep on doing it like he taught you, and pass it on.
    my condolences.

M grandfather was my hero. I followed him like a shadow when I was young. He taught me mechanics and the practical way to look at a problem. I still solve things thinking the way he did.
Keep your grandfather in your thoughts always and he'll never be gone, just encouraging you from the other side. my condolences for your losss.
