I have what is hopefully a simple question when you french in 54 chevy car taillights do you(can you) still pull them out from the outside to change the bulb. I am looking at possible using a set on a pickup project but wnt to make sure i can pull them out from the outside since changing the bulb from the back will not be an option thanks HRF.:D

On mine, I just reach from behind, under the quarter panel. No problem for the last 15 years.-MIKE

In stock form, you remove the bulbs & sockets from inside the trunk, they just pull out. When you french the lights, that doesn't change. What changes is how you get your lenses out. Most people flip the buckets to the inside of the sheetmetal so they can remove the bucket & lens from inside the trunk, since the outer bezel is now part of the car.
