Chevy six engine swap question??

    Hey,has anyone out there ever swapped out a 1953 235 Chevy for a 1968 250 six?The car has the original powerglide.What should he expect to run in to?

    i don't know if the new engine will bolt to the old glide,but the new six is longer than the old one and the fan to radiator space is a problem. You have to fab motor mounts too. I've done this,but used a four speed and converted to open driveshaft.

    Old trans wont mate up you need to go open driveline or stick with the 235. Those cast iron powerglides are a real *****.

    Yeah,I kind of figured this would be too much work,just to use a cheap motor.
