Awesome thank you! Its cool to see it with the smooth heads. Anyone have an idea on what that original color might be? Its a dark bluish grey. I know Cadillac motors were a dark "Cadillac blue" in the 50's, but I dont know about the iron of the early 30's.
I did images searches as well through google but didnt see those. I did speak with Buddy at FlatCad today. Very nice guy. He called me from the road about the engine. He said he might be able to get me more info on it when he gets home. Due to other projects I would not be able to tackle an immediate rebuild, but I can at least get it on a stand and clean the outside. I dont know if I will end up keeping it or not as I need to finish these other rides before getting a roadster I want. But this is definitely a different motor and I dont want to see it deteriorate anymore. Nice to see how the plug wire tubes look on the motor also. I have the tubes that are in that first pic, one is perfect, the other is a little smashed but looks like saveable.

  4. happy to help. Sorry I can't provide more in depth info, Bob's roadster is one of my favourites and I would like to build a clone but that wont happen anytime soon with the number of project I have.

Clean the engine up, paint the heads, make some headers and intake and put it on a stand, it will make a great conversational piece until you are ready to build a roadster

Model A ch***ises are cheap and T roadsters are the cheapest and easiest Ford roadster to find & would make a great project for you and your son in the years to come.

back in 1955 one of our clubmembers [kamsters] Don Kappeler had a cousin that lived on Wilmington Pike beyond Feedwire Road. at the back of the farm there was a creek and in the creek was a 1932 caddilac pickup truck with an aluminum flathead I wasnt interested because I was already running a 276 flatty in my 32 three window at scott field in Indy aqnd at South Dayton airport which was owned by my uncle Jerry. thanks hemigeorge aka the vamp owner
