I am interested in dropping my 51 Ford Business Cuope onto an S10 frame. Anyone done this or have thoughts on it? Any and all info, suggestions, pics appreciated.

ya, sub frame saves a lot of work. but, still plenty to do. search here on S10 set ups-lots of info. also at S10V8.com. best to set the frame at the ride height that you want to end of with. if you do not bag front/rear and just attach your frame to S10 it will sit on the high side. the S10 springs are tough, and even with a V8/automatic installed they barely compress. I have this set up and even with 2" dropped spindles sets very high-got some 2" dropped springs/shocks to install and hope that with those and all of the other parts I yet have to put on it will bring front down some.

  6. It's 1000 times more work than you think it is, if you've never done something like this before, don't start here.

Lots of ways to skin a cat....

I'm currently S10 subframing my 50' sedan... see pics (notched it, but going with leaf springs for now).

True, it's a lot of work, but that's what I wanted to do.

Have you thought about drivetrain, rear end, steering etc?

    Regards,
