<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and ***le --><!-- message --><!-- google_ad_section_start -->I want to check the residual valves on a '67 Olds Toro. It is an all drum system, master cylinder apppears to be the same as my '69 Cutl*** with drums. Problem : my 'book' say the residual valve, or check valves are located it the outlet ports of the M C . I removeed an outlet fitting ( the part the flared brake line fits over ) and nothing in there....A retired auto instructor told me it was located inside, at the end of main valve body, while my manuals say they should be under the fittings.................so where are they ???????thanks<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- begin adsense --><!-- end adsense -->

the residual valves are little check valve located in the outlet fitting ports. My MC didnot have any in it, neither did the one off my '69 Cutl*** ( It was converted to front disc ) any way, the new one I just got, has the check valves it it ..and they all have the same the same part number.....so...... I figure, when these MC's are rebuilt, some get the check valves and some done don't ! next time you guys get a MC for drum brakes, better take close look .
