It has been WAY too long since progress has been made on the truck! Our builder was busying doing house work trying to sell off a property and could not get to the truck. This week we are finally back on it! Last time any work was done was back in August. Today we started staining the oak wood for the bed. We are matching the copper color on the engine

Love it, and love this build thread archive too!! Nice job, keep the pics coming. And yes, my inner fender bolted directly too the firewall/floor. I remember cussing while I was inside turning the wrench and the nut was turning outside!

I might buy some of them one day, but right now I don't think he needs to get rid of anything.

Finally seeing some progress on the 54! The firewall has been cleaned up. Tons of holes filled to smooth it out. Also filled some holes in the cowl from mirrors and antennas over the years. Still waiting on the motor to be finished but it should be soon. Complete mock up coming soon! Can't wait to see this thing in paint.

Motor is bolted together with all the gaskets for the last time and the headers are at coating. Finishing up running the A/C lines and then it is time for paint. :D
