Don't get me wrong, I like your drawing style, but since when did the HAMB become a market for FNG get rich quick schemes? Stick this in the cl***ifieds, or auction something to support Ryan. (and to ryan and the moderators, if I'm oversteppin' I'll shut the hell up) Oh, and I am all for supporting starving artists, I am one, but some damn respect for the board please.
Calm down skippy. Do you think I am trying to get rich quick cause if thats the case I should probly charge more. Seeing as I am making about 5 bucks every one I sell and have sold a whole three. I was going to start to do prints and selling originals to help out the board. So you got me all wrong and now you feel bad. lol its ok I forgive everytime. But seriously I am planning on selling the orig on the hamb and letting the hamb have all the money. I dont just take things I ussually try to give back. Heck if I were in a better situation I would give alot to the hamb but some cant be. I am just trying to do my part.
You didn't make any reference to donating a cent to the HAMB until now. You created a sketch that you will now scan and print copies of and sell for "$20.00 a pop". I can scan and print from where I'm sitting for free, but maybe you have to go to a service bureau, that should cost you $10.00 to open the file, and $1-2 per print depending on size. Worst case scenario, a scan and 66 copies costs you about $150 and some tax. You keep one and give a few away, and now you've got 60± to sell to the nice folks on the HAMB. 60 x $20.00=$1,200; subtract your costs, you're left with $1,050. Not bad for a couple hours sketching (whether you've sold 1 or 1,000 is ****ing irrelevant). I'm not one to bash newbies, I'm a live and let live, we can all get along kinda guy. This isn't about bashing a FNG, it's about having some respect for the HAMB. SPAM by any other name still smells like **** to me. It's a simple game with simple rules: If you've got something to sell, put it in the cl***ifieds. Now go work on your car before you piss me off.

Newbie, I'm with BigA on this, If you want to sell something put it in the cl***ifieds and deal with Rashy. If you want to auction for the HAMB's benefit then do it properly. You apparently want to learn the rules the hard way so don't get pissy.

There was a time on the HAMB that if a smart-mouth punk with a muscle car started peddling his wares 2 weeks after joining he would've had 200 members falling over themselves to see who could kick his nuts farther into his throat. As I am an FNG, maybe I shouldn't say anything, but.............. ratstar, this is not a personal attack, I'm just trying to school ya, so take it for what it's worth.........................................(not much lol) #1: Never, and I mean NEVER pop off the way you have done here, to guys that have been around a lot longer than you. And I'm not talking about join date. RESPECT YOUR ELDERS! #2: Have you even read the rules? Or are you just another 21yr old punk kid that thinks he knows all, and that the rules don't apply to you? If so, I think your in for a big suprise! Listen to Big A, and do this sale the right way. #3: You'd be wise to just shut the **** up, and lurk for a while to see how this site works. You'd be amazed at how much can be learned here, unless you think you already know everything. #4: I don't claim to know everything, in fact, I don't think I know very much. But what I do know, I learned by being respectful to those who can teach me, and asking for help when I needed it. There are some really great people on this board, with an incredible amount of knowledge gained by YEARS of hard work and determination. I hope to learn a fraction of what they know in my time left on this planet, and I'm never gonna stop trying to learn new things. #5: Dude, are you really a Machinist? That type of work requires alot of common sense, as well as attention to details. You haven't shown much in those areas, so you must be a production machinist. Anybody can do repe***ive machining, hell I was doing it in 1980, at 12 yrs old! I later went on to a career in the plastic injection mold making business, building tight tolerance molds for the medical industry. Or are you a cnc operator? You know, load the part, wait for the programmer to check it, push the start ****on, and let the machine do all the work, while you pick your ******* out of your ***. I've seen alot of people like that, that CLAIM to be machinist's, but couldn't square up a block in a conventional mill if their life depended on it. Again, as an FNG, maybe I should've just kept my mouth shut, but this **** bothers me. If I'm out of line, I would appreciate it if a senior member would let me know, so I can learn from my mistake and delete it or remedy it or.........

Alright maybe we all got off on the wrong foot. 1-I wasnt claiming to know it all, I am sorry if it seemed that way. I didnt mean it that way. I will admit I was wrong for not posting this in the cl***ified sections. I totally spaced it and didnt even realize that it should have gone there first. 2-The reason I "jumped down BigA's throat" is because I felt like he was just trying to be a total jerk. I am really not making a whole lot beacuse of the quality of the prints and so forth. I was only trying to let people out there see and maybe get some of my art. 3-I will stick on the board cause as I stated in my intro I take almost nothing seriously and I wasnt planning on leaving the board anyway. I think everyone has something to contribute to alot of stuff. I will admit I did get a little testy, but in my own defense you could have put it a little nicer, such as "Hey this should be posted in the cl***ifieds" And last but not least or maybe least I dunno. I am a machinist. Stared out as a "production machinist" and now am a machinist. I dont know everything about it and I learn something new every day, but I am. And as a show of respect and gra***ude for my "lesson" I would like to send a print of this to BigA, totally free. If he wants it.
Hey All, Another post ruined by ****ing drama queens. Seems you cant open one post without little *****es starting a cat fight over something not worth the time to type over. The only thing I can see "wrong" about this is he didnt post in the cl***ifieds. So ask the cl***ifieds moderator to move it. End of story. I dont hear anyone one ripping into people selling thier car parts and making $20 for them. It oviously takes a talent not everyone has to do a sketch like that, thats why I'm happy to pay $20 for one. Danny
