Our weekly local cruise was called off due to threat of rain.
But a few die hards showed up anyway including this first time out straight stick 59 Edsel driven by our resident Santa Claus......

Cool guy with cool cars and more than 12 reindeer under the hood..

Thanks again for those contributing, sharing and keeping the thread going.......

  5. Great pics! Our car club does the same kind of thing every Thurday, meeting at the local A&W, just to get together and have some fun!

Hey Woosh,,, Thanks for posting. I need to get my butt up there from Sinchester. Some guys I know come up all the time. I especially recognize the red and white 51 Chevy, Dale did the custom work on my 48 Aerosedan. I will try to come up next Sat. nite and am planning on going to Ole time drags at Manassas next Sun. Hope to see you soon.

Here's some pics from the 5th annual Sherwood (Ohio) Car Show that we attended on Sunday August 28, 2011. Nice little local show and cruise with all proceeds going to benefit Village of Sherwood (population 801) parks. Awards presented for: People's Choice, Mayor's Choice, and Ladies' Choice. There's food, oldies music, a 50/50 drawing, door prices for entrants, and dash plaques to the first 25 cars!

This one was just down the road from my hometown cruise. This drive-in is fighting to survive the digital age. It's one of only 2 left in the state of Virginia and a dual screen at that. Yep, 2 screens at the same time. Just do an about face to see either one if you are sitting in the row in between.......... It's been operating since 1956 and is celebrating their 55th season......

This cruise was to start gathering up the approx. $160,000.00 it will take to convert to the demanded digital.

I know some will want to blast the details of the clone cars, but it was still cool to see them in front of the sign advertising American Graffiti last night..

Great time with games and 50's dress competition before the movie. And the right music by a DJ who knew the music and trivia of American Graffiti.

I'm lucky enough to live in between two drive-in's less than an hour's drive.

    Sure hope they can survive..............

I like cruise-ins a thousand times more than car shows and not because they are free - because the people are more talkative, and the cars are driven there - not trailer queens.
