FOUND! 59 Elcamino-photoshop help please

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Aug 14, 2011.

  1. I've been looking on and off for about 5 yrs for a 59 Elcamino and bought this today at Pomona swap meet. Can someone photoshop this without flames, lowered in the rear a hair lower than the front with chrome Cragars and 1" whitewalls? Thank you

I highly doubt it's the same car as yours appears much nicer but I almost bought one very much the same as that rims and all years ago. Nice find...

i used paint and colored it in real dirty and quick.. and its not worth posting the results but i can say it looks better with out the flames even with my ****py paint fill in.. problem i had trying to match the paint in was the damn sun changed the color so i no good at shading and ****.. but i can say with out a doubt just by my quick paint job.. you will be happy with out the flames.. now we just need a photoshop expert to do it up for you so you can see for your self. hell, gives you a idea.. someone who know show to use photoshop will make it look great.. i think it looks better with out the flames. so just squint your eyes when you look at it. laughs

A 59 elky's a keeper for me if I end up on the right side of a deal. It's a "one of these days" thing. That outta the way, I love a car that drags *** just a bit but a 59 elky isn't one of them. Look at the roof line. It rises up at the windshield. That's one car that looks perfect just slightly nose-down. If you tweek the stance just enough to "level" the roof line, BAM!!, perfect stance. Just sayin...

Oh BTW, nice ride and I hate you:cool::cool::D:D:D

it does look a lot better when it's not doing the wheelie.

I guess groucho doesn't know that you can't photoshop a car unless it's sitting on the ground? I'd leave the centerlines on it, and just put a bigger engine in. But that's on another forum.

Here's one that nails the stance pretty good IMO. It belonged to "59elky" here on the board. Came up in a pic request a while back.

I'm bumpin this for our brutha Groucho. Doesn't everyone love a 59 Elcamino? I think we ought to turn this into a pic request for all 59-60 Elkys.

    Wow, great score!

Plus, I think if you throw those wheels and tires on Craigslist, they'll probably sell pretty fast.

    Good luck with it.

My dad had a dark green '59 just like it when I was kid, we both wish he didn't sell it. So now I'm on the hunt for another.
