This Denver-based A coupe has been blowing my mind at every show I go to. Finally grabbed shots via my cell phone to post for my HAMB breathen as I don't think I've seen this car on here. Note the small details. The fan shroud. The tail lights. The interior gas tank/s. The ****pit-like gauges. Built by Pinkee's here in CO, this '30 is one of my favorite, ever. Enjoy!
I'm not a fan of elec. fans on open wheel rides but that mount/shroud makes me almost like it..almost. With all that is going on up front the tie rod still fit, behind the axle where it belongs Looks like a well though out nicely detailed coupe...thanks for posting.
I saw this at Golden cruise last weekend and wondered who built it. It really is a very well built coupe
I believe that is this car: http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/featuredvehicles/0709rc_1930_ford_model_a_coupe/index.html
Scooter--you are correct. Scanning your attached article, the car is now in the hands of a new owner, per the entry form from this weekend's show in Littleton. MAybe that begins to explain the change from the original concept drawings, Jeem. Not sure I would have liked in any less in Blue. Agree with 117 Harv on the electric fan but if you're going to go that route, at least it looks completely though out.
neat car.. whats going on with the jerry cans inside, did he rig them up to be the gas tanks? was thinking the trad police jump on the electric fan.. guages sorta remind me of airplane guages the at least the bezels.. thanks for sharing. not seen this one yet. chris.
Sure looks to me like the jerry cans are functioning as the gas tank/s. Don't know for sure because while I've seen the car at four different events now, I've never come across the owner. Gauges are indeed reminiscent of ****pit gauges. And yes, while hardly traditional, the fan set-up is very well executed. I wouldn't kick this one out of bed over crackers.
