    A GOOD time!

I've been going for over 20 years haven't missed one since I was 17.

Are you camping? The best way to experiance it is to camp. Sitting by a campfire ********ting about cars just adds to the experiance.

The past couple of years there has been a couple of clubs with traditional styled cars showing up.

The only and I say the only thing you could say bad is they are openning it up to pre 72 this year. Hopefully it does not get overrun with muscle cars!

Price is good...includes camping food including a corn feed on Sunday.

Did I say I liked the show? :)

I have been going since I was just a little guy...now I'm a big fat guy and I still go! I've always lived close enough where I never camped, but this year I'm packing the sleeping bag and layin on the dirt.

If you have never been there before, you really should hit up the cruise night in Frostburg on Thursday night. The whole town shuts down and cars cruise the entire strip all night long. This usually attracts 500-700 cars at least. The cruise on Saturday night on Industrial Blvd. is also a good one. More of your stereotypical car cruise but with 400+ cars up and down the strip.

As a member of the Western Maryland Street Rod ***ociation,I'd like to state that the club has no affiliation or control on the Thursday evening/Frostburg or Saturday evening Blvd cruises.
They are seperate en***ies and have planned their events around our annual Roundup.
We coordinate our show for our participants and all of us benefit the League For Crippled Children.

On behalf of the WMSRA,thank you all for attending our show and we hope you have a great time this year too!

This has always been THE BEST show around, and I used to attend every year (missed the last couple). It should help them make more money (which goes to a good cause), but I hope that opening it up to '72 doesn't ruin it, like it has some of the others.:(
IMO, hot rods and muscle cars are mortal enemies and shouldn't be mixed!

You'll have a good time, it's laid back...absolutely beautiful area...great people who will soon become close friends. I have been vending there for over 25 years, Travj31 and Ranunculous know me.....look for the pin up poster, and the HAMB banner will be up....Hambers get 20% off
This year I won't be there until Saturday AM ....but I'll be there, this is one I will not miss.

By the way....you asked when is the date?? Sept 2-4th Labor Day weekend at Allegany County Fairgrounds ***berland MD...usually 500-600+ nice cars....most scenic area you will ever see....friendly people, great vendors, (of which I am proud to be), lots to do....and best of all, kick back and take it easy....no h***les, no stress and cold beer.

One of the best weekends for hot rodders. The Thursday night Frostburg Cruise, The Western Md Street Rod Round-Up and the Super Cruise in ***berland on Saturday evening makes for a great time. Kudos to the organizers of both cruises and to the WMSRA for their efforts and time!!!

Will be about 10 of us from the star city. Didn't make it last year, had heart surgery on thursday, couldn't make the drive on friday. Sure will be nice to be back. One of my favorite runs of the year.

Been to this one quite a few times. Once you experiance it, it's hard not to come back.

Always something going on to enjoy.

Games, contests, rod jousting and more. Bands, camping, great vender lane. Etc, etc, and well worth the trip.

I have property up past ***berland and stopped in to check it out last year. I camped outside the gate, in the field since my truck and camper are only 14 years old. There was plenty of room out there in the field.

It looked like the campers inside were either roughing it or had resorted to some long extension cords and rather scary looking electrical hookups.

I made the mistake of staying on a normal sleep schedule. It sounded like things really got rolling about the time I sacked out. I probably should have slept during the day in preparation for the partying.

I hope to stop by again this year but it's sort of a work weekend at my property, so, I won't be in one of the cars.

I bought a vintage Shasta trailer in hopes of towing it up behind one of the cars but ran into health problems and never got it ready. I'm so far behind I'll probably sell it.

Ya I kind of "hung you out to dry" on that one....I won't stick you, I'll put in my dibs.....buy a case and drink 3....that's my limit....I can't talk at 3, can't walk at 4, fall down at 5 and puke before I finish the 6 pack....can't handle that beer, must be the carbonation....can't be the alcohol....we'll have fun, no matter what

I'm from "da Burg" too Pitts 64...it's an easy trip down Rt 51 through Uniontown up across the summit into MD on Rt 40 then a short jaunt down 68 East....You have to love this event I have been vending there since the mid 80's. Something going on all day long. I'll be setting up Sat AM (have to work Friday so going down Fri night) Look for the HHAMB banner in the vendor area...Lot's of Pittsburgh people there.
