Hello all, I am new to the forum, and want to introduce myself. My stepdad got me into cars as a kid. He used to race '55-'57 Chevys in PA and NJ back in the 60's but he wasn't a 'big name' or anything. Right now, his pride and joy is a 1932 Chevy streetrod, and I just recently bought my own toy. It's a 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook with the flathead inline 6, and only 18,000 original miles. I've always been partial to Chevys, but I'm really glad I purchased the Cranbrook. It runs awesome! Glad to be a new member to the forum.
Welcome from another flathead Mopar guy. If you have not aready done so, log onto the P15-D24 site http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/index.php?referrerid=1152 while it is geared toward the 46 thru early 49 Plymouths and Dodges there is a ton of info on the flatheads over there. Not only that but under the sheet metal there is not a lot of differenced between your 53 and a 48.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes! 1953Plymouth: Thanks, I plan on do***enting what I do. I just bought it, so money is tight at the moment, but once I finish some of the preventative maintenance, I'll get into the FUN stuff :-D
Welcome, Eric, from the other side of the Mason-Dixon Line. Looks like a very nice Plymouth. Enjoy your HAMBtime........Don.
