Hey what are you running for your hotrods. In the collection mode now. Have money more than I do time working 60hrs a week. Have my eyes set on a reproduction belair wheel. Do they have the original diameter available?
gosh...if it's a REPRODUCTION, it must be in the original diameter - otherwise it's some kind of "copy" or the original. you should learn to slow down when you're typing - your header seems to be missing a word (ie: SEE) and what on earth is a horror - in the context in which you're using that word I mean...None of my cars are HORRORS....sorry to hear about yours dj
Well sorry just was looking for some help not criticism. It not to hard to figure out my missing and mispelled words. Must have slipped my tired mind.
I could be wrong but it looks like one of those, if you have to ask you can't afford it! It looks real nice though
The repop Belair wheels are not much if you ask me. The rim will bend a bunch if you push hard on the top of the rim. The center for the horn kit to fit in is not correct and you will have very difficult time making the horn work. IMHO
Hey guys thanks for the vote on our new crestliner steering wheel. We put a lot of time into the development of the wheel and it came out to be our best so far. We used Limework's center horn ring and came up with a great product. We have now figured out a working horn mechanism so that the horn beeps when you push on the ring. These wheels are milled from billet aluminum and will never crack or bend. We have them ready to ship and come in black or ivory or primed so you can paint any color you want. We can paint it different colors for an extra cost to cover a pint of paint. Direct fit to GM, 49-50 Ford or 32-39 Ford column. The price is $1,500 with a non/functioning horn, which is half the price of an original crestliner in comparable shape.
I wish they had some thing for a 40's Chevy like that. I've been shopping around for something to fit my 76 GM tilt column.
The Bel Air wheels can be had in the original diameter. I purchased a repro 55 Chevy wheel in a 15 Diameter for my chopped and sectioned Cadi. Just not enough room for an 18 inch steering wheel. Repro's go for about $350.00
Assuming you're looking for a stock 18 wheel, check out these guys. You never specified a year. http://www.mervsclassicchevyparts.com/57parts.html -
I don't think a clock is on our list but we are working on a plain clear center button so any logo can be placed in it.
I used a repro '40 ford wheel from Limeworks since I used one of their columns in my '48 GMC. http://www.limeworkspeedshop.com/store.html
