Well I finally bit the bullet and bought a 40 sedan delivery. I sold my Thames earlier this year and paid off a LOT ofbills etc and had decided it would be my last build for a while. Well the bug bit again and a 40 delivery had always been on my list, a deal was struck and I will take posession next week during the HAMB drags. I have a 292 Y block with a 3 spd or a flatty can't decide yet, but will definately be an old school shop rig/ push rig. Basically a larger version of my Thames, but only more old school. I can't wait to get it and start day dreaming, but I can't start on it until we get my 15 yr old daughters VW bug finished, but it will give me time to scrounge parts. What do you guys think, Flatty or Y block?? Anyone got any cool motivational pics?
That was once my 40 Sedan delivery, I traded it to Dale before his move to AZ. Lucky he still has it, the ElCamino I traded it for was stolen a few months after here in Tacoma.. Never found... Good luck with the delivery, had alot of good stuff that came with it when I bought it from a guy out near Mt. Rainier. Have fun !!
Congrats. I had delusional thoughts of grandeur about that Delivery before I finally found my '36 Sedan Delivery, which is getting a 59AB and a T5, so I guess you know what my vote would be...
I have not seen it in person yet, but after several question and answer sessions I belive it will make a great car, I most likely will replace most wood with steel, but we'll se when it arrives.
