merc frame

i purchased a 50 merc four door the body is completely rust free but it is sitting on an early 90s licholn frame ,nothings been hacked on the body thank god ! i am looking for an orginal frame or a good alternative to one anyone have any sugestions ? ive found a few 50 ford frames but not sure if they will work under a merc ,any help would be great !

Network around, you can totally find the right frame if you are patient.

 

Same year Ford and Merc frames do not interchange. I just sold a rolling 51 frame and learned 49-50 are same and 51 is to itself. They are out there and stock frame is the easy way to go for sure.

there was a clean frame on ebay under 1949 mercury, but its in virgina...

Remember reading somewhere that a mid 80s Olds 98 frame works good under a Merc.
