HEY STRCOMP I WILL BE THERE FOR THE SWAP MEET CANNOT WAIT IT'S GOING TO BE HARD TO SLEEP TONIGHT!!! Knuck From Indiana.
Really? Some kind of ceremony? We will have a moment of silence on Sunday at 9:52. When the first attack happened. Then we will celibrate one of the all time great American past times the US Automobile! Henry Ford mass produced them, war veterans from WWII came home and modified them for the dry lakes, the drags strips, Bonneville, & Indy. Men and Woman who fought for our freedom so we could do the things we love. We all know of family and friends that have fought in the middle east and have paid the ultimate sacrifice, we pay tribute to them this weekend. I have the honour of having given to me a flag from Commander LT David Jackson, Commander of the USS John F Kennedy Jr Battleship that was the first ship to fire missles into Afagnistan after September 11th. Come out to Grundy County Speedway to see it. This weekend we will celibrate what we Americans love the automobile and our freedom!
I AM 43 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE HAD A LIFE I COULD MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT. BUT ONE THING I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN IS THAT WHEN SOMEONE IS TALKING SMACK ABOUT YOU IS THAT YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING!!! WEATHER IT BE GOOD OR BAD IF YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING GOOD OR COOL THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE TRASH TALKING AND THAT IS A FACT!!! I WAS OUT AT THAT SHOW YESTERDAY AND I HAD A GOOD TIME OTHER THAN NO BUDWEISER SERVED AND HAD TO SETTLE FOR GIRLIE BEERS. I NOTICED THAT IT AT LEAST TRIPLED IN CARS AND ATTENDENCE. GREAT SHOW KEEP IT UP I WILL GO OUT THERE NEXT YEAR AND MAYBE WITH MY COUPE I AM BUILDING NOW. THANKS Knuck From Indiana.
I had the chopped two-tone '53 Belair between the C-10 & the '56 Ford gasser right as you drove it/out. My camera died yesterday from the gathering and recorded the bands & pinup contest but I would have loved to get a few of your car also.
Has nothing to do with there being another show. It all has to do with how those promoting it went about putting it together to originally imply that it was replacing another well-known show that others worked their asses off doing every year. Even going as far as copying T-Shirt artwork.
