Amish style Hot Rodding goes back further than 1951. My grandmother has scars on her legs from falling of the wagon frame on the way to school. Seems her older brothers took the body of the frame in the search for more speed. My grandmother & her sisters had to sit on the frame rails, my grandmother fell off in a corner & ended up on a barbed wire fence. This would have been in rural Saskatchewan in 1931.

They've obviously had something going on for a long time now. You don't make tyres like this for no reason

I was hoping this was going to be about the Black Bumper do***entary. There has been a video trailer on the net for a few years, I have been looking forward to viewing the completed film. If have not heard of it check it out, it is pretty cool.

Unfortunately the Amish are not immune to the "rat" phenomenon either:

How could I miss this. Like Tman mentioned I'm not Amish but I am a Mennonite. Back when I was in high school I knew some Amish guys who would take their horse and buggy to a remote barn, change into their street cloths, and jump in their Chevelle and hit town. Yeah it was hopped up.

I usually say that my buggy has more horses than others.

My closest neighbors are Amish. They mind their own business, they take great care of the their land, they are self reliant, self sufficient and support their families without asking the government or others for help. They really helped me out when I had surgery and couldn't put up my hay crop, at some considerable inconvenience to themselves. They're easy to make fun of, because they are different, but to do so is pretty lame and definitely immature. Not your best effort, Ryan.

...It seems through humor some folks learned something about the Amish, I bet the word Amish has never been searched so much in one day.
