Bushing, real close to me is a carb shop that does total rebuilds. Last time I went in asked him about it cause I had rebuilt it with same issue. He grabed it, pointed out the bushing and replaced for $15. I couldnt find anyone with the parts anymore so I just took the last one there.

The 49-54 car brakes will not fit the 3/4 ton spindles. 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton spindles are different. The 3/4 to spindles have larger bearings and also kingpins

The hubs and drums bolted right on!!! I was amazed it was so easy, didnt need to change the wheel cylinders.

Yeah....That is how most Chevy/GMC stuff is. The 51-54 car front wheel bearings, (both inner & outer), and 55-59 truck bearings are the same. The brake drums are the same, also, except the car drums are 5 lug, and the truck drums are 6 lug.

If you want roller front wheel bearings, check with "Cl***ic Parts Of America". They sell roller front wheel bearings for 55-59 Chevy/GMC pickups. These bearings will also fit 51-54 Chevy p***enger cars, too.

I have done a lot of work in the past few months, I took it to the Symco Shakedown and I got in! It was a blast and it was a 300+ shakedown run. A whole weekend of fun!
