I was going to put some kind of limits on this, like just running cars or just trad hot rods/customs, but decide fer yerself how you want to add it up... how many horsepower do you have on tap, total? Me: 1964 Lincoln Continental (430) = 320hp 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille (390) = 325hp 1955 Mercury Monterey (292) = 188hp 2004 Nissan 350Z (3.5L) = 287hp So I guess that puts me at 1,120hp! Of course, they aren't in anywhere near perfect tune, etc... but I guess I can just be a "numbers" geek sometimes... But then if you figure in the Lincoln not running right now, that puts me down to 800hp... and then subtracting the Z so as to keep this post "traditional," I'm down to 523hp... maybe I can add in my garbage disposal and lawnmower to get some back! So, what kinda horsepower YOU got? Longroof
Flathead T bucket- 14hp at the wheels. 1991 Caprice wagon with 14.8 billion miles- 23 hp. 1999 2wd Blazer-190hp. 2000 Siberian Husky-50 hp. That puts me at 277 hp!!! Wow!
haaaaaaa. I like this post. We're gonna get some guy with a peterbuilt and 15 cars with like 10,000 horsepower..haaa. be cool to see what cars people have though. Me... 1953 cadillac (331). 210hp. 2004 WRX (2.0t). 227hp. The cadi's not running but when it gets back up I'd say I raised it some with a better exhaust but since it's old it's probably lost some so we'll say 215hp. The WRX has 3 inch exhaust and is gonna undergo some changes next spring...shooting for 275at the wheels so about 350hp. haaa. So me....total... 437hp
Is that the standard or high performance edition. My wife had to have one of those PITA SOB **** heads.
1961 VW Beetle w/1300: 36 HP 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air w/seized up 235: 0 HP 2 legs and a GT Cruiser bicycle: ? Man, I ****... thats only 36HP Not sure how many people power there are in a horse power though, so maybe it's actually slightly over 36HP... woo hoo! Rich
1932 Ford 3W (327) 315hp,dyno'd. 2000 S-10 Extreme pickup (2.4L) 135hp. 2005 Monte Carlo SS (Supercharged V6) 245hp. Total: 695 hp. What do we win?
What a RUDE question. You really think I'm going to answer this on a public message forum? In a word, nunya.
Lessee...Merc 300D mit turbo = 123 factory-rated horses: Citroën 2CV6 = 29 horses (feels every bit like 30 though) ; so that's a total of 152 horses. Kinda makes you quiver . Cosmo
Niiiiiice... should I put a "PC" disclaimer? If this post, and the related question, in any way offends you or makes you uncomfortable, then please feel free to skip it and go straight to the non-offensive posts on the site. Like search for Nads' posts. Yeah. He's "PC" and stuff. Whatever.
Singling me out makes me uncomfortable! How rude! My Ranger has probably 100hp and my '57 Plymouth hasn't got an engine, so I'm pretty down on power right now. I've had a couple of 400+horse cars before.
[QUOTE I've had a couple of 400+horse cars before.[/QUOTE] Hell, I worked with a guy who had several 1,000+ hp cars. Does that count?
Well, I didn't want to look like a total weenie. So I went for the total loser schtick instead. How did I do?
ummm... (cheating and using hp numbers from the dragstrip program for some of these) (cheating more and including the wife and kid's cars) 55 chevy (blown 454) 650 59 pickup (396) 400 59 pickup (454) 350 70 camaro (250) 155 70 dart (340) 250 93 ford (281) 195 99 pickup (325) 270 99 plymouth (3.5) 253 I won't count the ones that aren't running, that would add a couple more 454s and a 440, but you get the idea... more'n you can handle!
No way I can touch these number unless I list my 300HP NavigatorSo...how about going pounds per HP? My Zipper lakester weighs 1680# and the EFI equipped '31 banger puts out 122 HP. That's 13.77 pounds per HP or pony car numbers
'90 Integra - less than the 130 it came with 160,000 miles ago '56Ford ('75 351W +.060) less than the hp/ci I'm looking for from my virgin re-build (enough to get me in trouble at poser cruise night)
true useable in it's current state horse power? just a couple daily drivers, maybe 300 between them but, I have the Potential for making a little more..
Hey 60's Style great fleet but... whats with the manequin??? It looks pretty cool. (I was going to to ask whats with the dummy, but I figured someone would get offended)
Since you'll never have any idea how much horsepower I really have... I'll tell you exactly what I tell everybody. I have close to 3000HP on pump gas. Yeah, my goal is to be the first flatty to break the sound barrier. HP numbers rarely matter...
