bumped to 35% nitro, whilst chasing a bit of a lean condition we nuked a piston in #544 roadster... we were in the process of swapping a new flathead in, piston clearance may have been too tight in the new motor... pulled off early so the motor didnt go kaput! not sure what the extent of damage is with either motor. thanks for posting pictures!

  14. Wish I could have been there guys! Would have been great to meet Tman and all the other guys...hopefully next year!

Carl, I'm sure we'll see you at Eagle Field, right?

Great pics Carl. I think we met one year at a small show in Redway, Ca. I had my 4-71 blown AV8 '29 Closed Cab there.
Wish I would have run into you on the salt this year.

Well Tim you had my attention for a coupla days anyway. It was great being able to help you out in what little way I could. Being not only at Bonneville but part of a team and getting my grandson out to the starting line and picking you up with the 36 was a thrill of a lifetime. Thanks for making this ol man happy and Jack feels the same!........................

  23. Same time next year Carl. ;) Till then we'll see you at Eagle. :D

Hey Carl.....great shots of great engines....

Now as to the 10 pounds of boost on your dash.....varoom!!!!

I'm still thrashing on the 3w Flathead, bringing it up to the USFRA Meet in September for their 130 Cl***....don't know if you make that one also, but if you do, we need to meet in person....check out "our mutual sickness:D".....hahaha
