Great pics. Looks like ol' Tex Smith was there with his "Dollar a Pound" rod. And Gary Meadors too. I also saw Tonya Hardings Dads '31 2-tone brown coupe with the four banger. She got in the books with a 100 MPH p*** last year.
Don, thanks!! these picts really capture the spirit of the place and the people who go there each year...
DRD, Thanks for the photos! Im glad you got a few of my car for me (12 row down on page one, 46-47 ford coupe). I was so wound up that we made it without any issues and being first time at Bonneville i didnt get any pictures of my car on the salt. It was a 1300 mile round trip from Colorado and my stroker flatty sang like a sewing machine the whole way. Almost 14 miles to the gallon @ 65 miles an hour. My buddy drove his 62 Fairlane with a 302 and c4 and had almost identical mileage. Thanks for all the photos, i need to post the ones i took that aren't dup's of everyone elses.
Nice pics, as usaual, Don. I heard that you gave the what for to a group of hoodlums messing with my car at the Nugget on Friday night (they were my racing team mates). I saw from you from a distance cruising the salt in your roadster, but never managed to talk to you.
