New cam won't fit industral 440????

    We have a industral 440 ,when putting new comp cam into it, the last cam bearing is to small for the cam to fit with any clearence , wondering if any Mopar guys can Help. Thanks,DUCKMAN

    How small is "too small" ? Are we talking 0.001" or 0.101" ?

    There simply should be no difference in the bearing journals so I would first compare bearing diameters between the new and old cams as well as compare to published specs.

    Are you sure it's not a Ford FE block? They're notorious for cam bearings not fitting....

    If it's just off by a little bit, like a few thousandths, you may need to shave the bearing.
