Everybody and their mother wants a gennie Ford 1932 - 1936 3W coupe, but they are too dang expensive, right? Take a risk, build a coupe from some other manufacturer- Preferable one that's out of buisness- You'll have real vintage steel, and something off the well beaten path. Probably bought for under $20k. Look at these gems: 1933 Franklin 3W coupe! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6472&item=4548581369 REO Flying Cloud 3W coupe: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6472&item=4549082699 1935 Caddy (looks a little beat) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6472&item=4548889623 1937 Husdon Terraplane (Its a 5 window, but still cool) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6472&item=4548381849
i don't want a Ford. i've NEVER wanted a Ford. all i want is a pair of frame rails and a decent touring body,if it's Ford it'll be because it's CHEAP! like me...
shhhhhhhhh. . . .let the sheeple keep following the flock. that cadillac looks exactly like my 35 olds coupe. . . except the grill and those wierd hood sides
I want a deuce three window...so I can sell it and build what I really want....a 1939 ford deluxe four door.
Framedragger has a Hudson terraplane 5 window coupe that's been hotrodded I can't find a picture right noow
shouldn't you be out in the garage working on your merc? if i hafta go up there again the night before paso...
damnit to hell, I want that caddy. I LOVE mid-30's GM 3W's, they are so sleek, stylish, damned near perfect streamline modern. That hudson looks like a sectioned 39 ford, with a better grille. I like fords, I really like Model A's, but they were cheap go-carts compared to what else was avaliable. good post, good point...
hatch that is the best thing i heard in a long time so i'l wait till your finnished building the deuce and trade you mine 39' hehehe
At least at first glance the bodies on the reo and the franklin might have come from the same supplier. The flare around the rear of the body and the rear wheelarches is very similar. Can't get too worked up over the other two, but I like the 32's. Mart.
