If you decide to do this in the spring, I would be interested. Right now I plan to be there from second week in March thru last week in April. I'm planning to go to Greedy Guys in Deago with my friend Bruce from Fountain Hills, whenever that is.
    My roadster loves reliability runs.

It is about time something for actual rods gets organized in arizona

GRSMNKY Jason, I am going to call you this afternoon about this.

I just talked with Scooter about this run. He actually had a good idea :p

We need some road captian volunteers and we need to meet to put the first leg together. I would like to see the Tucson guys do the same if possible. Maybe everyone could meet at my shop next Saturday afternoon (5/21)

    Interested?

If I am in town I am always up for a reliability run/cruise. Let us know when a date and time firms up.

Steve see if you can go to that wide world of maps and get a decent map or download one so we can plan and research routes on sat ."AZ BACK LOT MISFITS FUN RUN" . BTW T-shirts could also be made through nancy perry , maybe this time she can actually spell , or i should just proof read um LOL  If we are havin door #'s i want 101 ...No worries the details will all work out .Like i told ElP i told 2 people outside the HAMB w/ nice rides , and so far i have over 20 cars that wanna go just by telling those 2 people . Yes Az is starving for an event like this BIG TIME !
Mike could rent out his cars to the outta town guys :rolleyes:that would fill a nice stretch of road right there :D

I like nice cars too,,, and some of those guys that fall into your "gold chainer" catagory drive **** piles too. Need a better gauge of who's in and whos not. I personaly think primer ****s.

I know there are other guys with serious high end cars just itching at a chance to drive them, some are more tradional than you think. So some sort of pre-registration and approval by the road captians is going to be manditory. Limiting the size may also be a must.

I was thinking of breaking the teams up by car catagory and speed they are able to travel at, or prone to breakage as the case may be. Let the slow guys go first and get a good lead. We should also think of a chase vehicle with extra road supplies.

Lets hope that we don't run into any watered gas this time!

Looking foreward to this. I think that at***ude is more impotant than primer or shiny differences.

  15. As for my rendevous, INVITE ONLY!!!!!! You need to be tough. I invite all HAMBers and some locals. Not all the cars are perfectly trad but they are drivers, some really nice. THe Lake Area roadsters do the same thing, we are having our spring reliability run/picnic this weekend. Lots of locals dont get the invite, same as when I throw a party, I invite the folks I want to be around, friends, aquaintances, pweople that make me laugh.

It might sound elitist, well yeah it is. But **** em. Do your run with folks YOU want, that way it wont become work. It will be a cruise with pals.

I would cover this only as a last resort, I just bought a new '05 supercrew.

I like the idea of having several lead teams, for example I dont like to drive the Buick under 75 due to to my high gears.

Tbag, you are so right on this. It will be tough to choose the "right" cars for the run. Anything bigger than 20 cars will be a nightmare to control.

Glen, I have a latemodel HD with a stretcher if need be. Rather not use one at all but may be able to con one of my non-rod friends into piloting it.

Jerry, you are so right about demeanor. It cuts both ways.

Ricky, ABco is the last stop for the day. If we started there we may never get this thing on the road!

I just came from Silver City NM, home to Yuma, AZ. Too bad Yuma is so far off, and I doubt anyone else would be going through here. I'd love to do this run.

Rad**** we would love to have you guys join it!

Mike, its about driving anyway, so you could boogie up to Tucson and meet up with everyone there. Then skirt your way back along the Southern border. Hell you could make your own leg of this thing, there are hotrod guys there too.

Thats nothing... There used to be a Hot Rodder here in Tucson that had "So many sheep, so little time" on his License Plate Frame.
What do you think we called him...:D

I'd love to go on the reliability cruse, if I have something reliable. ( I dont right now...)
