correct track width of a 1949-1951 Ford Tudor

    I need the track width measurements of a 1949-1951 Ford Tudor

    quick! : before my (bitchin') camaro stub gets even wider and takes over my garage!!!

    Factory service manual, which I just consulted, gives the 'tread' widt of all models as 56". However, the wheels used on these models have a slight negative offset, so while the tread width, center to center of the tires, is 56" the drum face to drum face, at ride height, may be slightly more. But keeping the front hub to hub dimension close to 56" will give you more latitude on wheel and tire combos without creating clearance problems. BTW, I have a '50 shoebox and intend to apply these recommendations to my own car, for whatever that is worth. Best wishes!

    and that is from center tire to center tire right ?



    would that be the same on a 1951 ford truck ?
