I usually just build my cars however I please - but I'm stumped. I just purchased a pair of cool Halibrands from Josh, menacekustoms. But I'm not sure If I like the look on my car.

    Should I run:

    A. The Halibrands with no hood (Sorry for the ****py cut and paste.)

    B. The high-clearance steel wheels and full hood.

Thanks for your opinion. (I can't believe I'm asking an opinion question on the HAMB - oh well, I have thick skin.)

I'm normally a hood guy, but with the blower motor, dude, run the Halibrands and no hood. ***uming you have Halibrands for the the front too.

Like the Halibrands and no hood; but you need to find some for the front also.

I don't have the fronts yet. Before I jump in and buy a set of fronts, I want to make sure the look is right. I'm still on the bubble.

Man, thats a tough one. I usually have no problem picking one or the other.
I really like those rear wheels and think it really defines the car. More than if it had plain steel wheels. BUT.... no hood and the Halibrands...looks really good too.

    Ugh...I pick steels.

Sell the Hailbrands and buy a pair of milk truck wheels for the front.

There are lots of cars with mags and even blowers. Yours is cool because it is different. The tall rears and 25 louver hood make the car.

I with they were 18" Divco type. But you are correct, they are the 20" Mopars.

Halibrands, But the problem is you don't have fronts. Lose the High clearance wheels they take away from the car. Too much wheel and not enough rubber. It looks like the fronts have more rubber than the rear around the tire. Bonneville stuff needs the High clearance stuff. Your car screams Hot Rod.

Please explain why a wheel change causes the hood to be called into question? Has anyone ever raced a car on the Dry Lakes or Bonneville WITHOUT a hood? I can't think of any car that left the factory without a hood. I like hoods, they look best closed.

I don't know what the choice is? Halibrands are a no brainer, blower motor, show it off.
The car is neat, but I don't care for wheel over 16"

It really doesnt matter when your car looks that good! I've got magnesium halibrands, chrome steelies with www, polished cruzers and black steelies. And i haven't even driven mine.

I don't know it could just be me but I think it would look nice with a "normal" 16 with a 750 tire or 700. it seems that the 18 has a lot of rim and not a lot of tire. just a thought
