Hey guys I am needing some input on building body mounts for my model a. The frame I built is 2x3 sq. Tubing and I'm wanting the top of the frame rail to be flush with the top of the door seal. if you guys have any questions or need more info let me know... Thanks guys
Not sure what you mean by "the top of the frame rail to be flush with the top of the door seal". The stock mounting method won't work? Bob
normally the subframe of the body rests on the frame rail, with a strip of material between. Bolts then drop down thru the floor and secure it to the frame. If you do not want to have threaded holes in the frame you could build tabs off the inside of the rail, and bolt the body down there.
the car is going to be very low to the ground so along with the chop it is channeled and what some people call "body dropped" so the frame will not be hanging below the body they will be flush with each other
