Hey, At least I believe thats what the trim package is. I've been lurking a while but now have a reason to speak up. Ok here goes...certainly no barn find but it was sitting near a barn. '56 Ford Mainline 2dr. Its kinda all there. hahaa! Has the v8 ("blowed up" per the owner) , no ****** and no rear. Uh the body is not bad. The rear lower quarters are gonna be needed, rockers maybe. Bumpers on and straight, grill straight, headlight rings ok. Interior all there. G****fruit size dent in the hood and the rest is straight! No plans for a show car but just a decent driver. Im thinking 351W, 4spd and i stuck a maverick 8" under it to get it home. Ive rescued a few jeeps but this will be my first shoebox(a ford can be a shoebox right?) thanks jw
um a shoebox IS a ford 49-51 not a 55-57 chevy as many will have you believe with that being said welcome to the hamb from ohio id love to find a 56 ford
Well here goes... Got it home and finally found some time to get started. Some parts are way better than i expected, some a little worse. Thats ok. Looking under the dash is kinda neat. Its like a time capsule. Fresh looking paint, unmolested wiring harness. The wiring harness is one of the pleasant surprises. Front radiator support was a disappointment haha
Nice crossmember swiss cheese huh? I cut it out yesterday and made a nice template for the new one. I will grab the steel one day next week and show the new one.
