i was at a show the other day and seen a car with a sb in it but the water pump was up in the air wondering who made it. it was cast and looked like it uses a chevy straight 6 water pump.
It is a ZIP's water pump riser Well documented here on the HAMB and other sites. Mine is Sno White, Fresno, CA With a light buff and a little paint it looks OK. It get the fan in a much better location for cooling w/o a need for an electric. Opal GT water pump is used.
I have owned both. BOTH are good units. The Snow White does not have the brackets cast in like the ZIPS. Some prefer that look. I prefer the ZIPS ... because of it brackets and the fact that the ZIPS uses a common 6 cylinder Chevrolet water pump. The Snow White uses a OPEL water pump. You know that almost any decent parts house ( Advance, Auto Zone, O'Reilys, NAPA ect ) has the Chevrolet water pump in stock but when I needed one for the Opel ... it was 4 or 5 days before I could get one. Not a big problem with the car tore down at home ... but if it died when out on the road ... away from home a couple hundred miles
Hey now that's a cool idea, never saw one before until I saw that picture. Nice to know if I ever have clearance issues or something in the future. Thanks guys.
