I am looking to buy a complete 1982 ford Bronco that has a 302 with a C-6 and a 9-inch rear end. Will the 9-inch fit without mods in the 33 Ford Tudor??

Those Broncos were the full size, with the same axle width as an F-150, so I doubt it will work without modification.

It will fit but it will have to be cut down.

I believe 66-77 early bronco rear end is what you want. No cutting and 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern

You also have to think about tire size/width and backspacing on your rims if you already have a set. An inch can make all the difference if you aren't looking at the whole picture...

That year Bronco is a very wide Bronco. The rear end measures over 65 inches ... measured this way.

Most rodders want to be at the 56 or 58 inch range for a 32/33/34 Ford.
So that 1982 Bronco rear end will be at least 3 and 1/2 inches too wide per side.

IF you plan on fenders ... the tires/rims will be sticking out ... a good bit ... like most did " back in the 70's "

None will fit without mods. Closed to open driveline, torque tube, radius rods, brakes, shocks, wishbones, spring hangers, panhard rod, 3 link, 4 link all that stuff has to be made/modified/built/installed.

I might be wrong, but wasn't that about the time Ford was off setting the pinion extremely far to the right? I would wonder if the two short side axle trick could turn that into a usable rear for the application. If he wasn't looking to go with wide rear wheels with a shallow back space, a 60" or so rear could do the trick.

IF ... he wants to be @ 60 inches and have the Ford 5 on 5.5 wheel pattern ( early Ford ) ... I suggest he just get a 1957 to 1972 Ford F-100 rear end and use it as ... is .

I prefer the later F-100 rears ( 1966 to 1972 ) because they have the self adjusting brakes feature.

Very true. It was just a thought, mostly because I'm one of those weirdo's that doesn't like the look of a deep reversed early Ford steel wheel. I usually put the center in a wider band with all of the extra width to the inside so the hub cap stays in the same relation to the outer rim.

    I am in total agreement ... :)

I like my wheels with almost no offset to the outside.

The width on the 33/34 inside of fender lip to the other inside of fender lip is 66"
