Does anyone have any idea for applications of 25/32 wrenches, off the top of their heads?

For instance, I know 11/32 is the coil wire nuts and starter nuts on '50s and early '60s GM vehicles, so I've picked up a couple of those wrenches over the years. (and no metric and no other standard size will fit those fasteners!)

Is there any kind of "That's the one" fastener that requires a 25/32 wrench?

The /32 sizes were an old standard. They were around in most of the in between sizes.

Not used anymore, but an interesting piece of history.

If I remember my childhood correctly, all bike bolts/nuts were vise-grip size.

I've had to work on both of your old bikes. Thanks for the prior craftsmanship!

Haha, I hear ya Tim but part of learning how to work on stuff includes learning how NOT to do things ;) Besides if I hadn't learned about pipe wrenches at a young age I wouldn't know that sometimes a pipe wrench will get a rounded off bolt out in a pinch.

The hub on my steering column for the quick release steering wheel in my '39 is 25/32".
I weld old 25/32" sockets to swapmeet steering wheels. I hand off the wheel to a random kid in the crowd during cruise nights:D. I then finish cruising through with a socket and short breaker bar on the column. After I stop I put my regular wheel with the quick release hub back on. The kids and thier parents think it is the greatest thing.
