1957-60 f100 styleside (short wide bed) bed to fram installation and hardware

Well I ordered a few parts from dennis carpenter that sone other companies didnt have or were over priced. Well nobody really had a bed installation kit for my truck so dennis ended up having it but they just have the bolts,washers and nuts. Isnt there supposed to be a runner or fiber pad of some sort? They said its bed to frame. Metal to metal. Is that right?

 

there are some wooden blocks that go on each bolt they are locatd on the cross rails of the bed

 

Zephyrv12, do you know where I can get those block or any info on them?

 

those can be made I'm going to take a bed off the frame if they are in good shape you can have them

Are the two small inner blocks cut at an angle or just the way you drew it? So I will beed two of each block?

its not like you're building a piano. just a small taper cut. table saw or skill saw will do it with no problem.

The blocks and pads arrived yesterday. So now I am waiting on the bolts.
