Anyone bought t-shirts online from deadend magazine lately? I bought a couple of XL "if you didn't build it don't cruise it" from the website back on June 23 and paid $20 for shipping to Canada. Then I sat back and waited for them to show up in the mail. At the same time I bought some shirts from another site, and then the Canada Post strike happened for a couple weeks and the mail was backed up for weeks. So my shirts from the other guys show up after 3 or 4 weeks and I start thinking I better check on my other order, send e-mail on July16 , no answer. Life goes on and it occurs to me I still haven't seen the shirts so send off another e-mail on Aug 2nd. And the reply with no ship date info or tracking number for the shipment so after another 2 weeks of waiting for the shirts to arrive. I figure a last e-mail to see if anyone at deadend magazine would give a crap. Now going back to paypal for a refund is a no go because after trusting that my order had been misplaced or forgotten to be shipped and was indeed shipped on or around aug 2nd the 45 days to submit a dispute has passed. So here I sit no shirts and no way to get my money back from deadbeat magazine. Just consider yourselves warned about these guys. I got stiffed and you could too. If they are stand up guys/gals then they would be professional about their customer service and communication with the customer. I have not experienced any of that. Mark</witwicki@telusplanet.net>
Hey, give Juan & Jesus a break. They're only a 2 man show over there. Between working a regular job & traveling all over the place covering shows, the guys sometimes get a little behind. There's no need to slam them. Give them a chance. There's plenty of people here on the HAMB that will vouch for them. Just my 2 cents...
did you pay with a credit card? go through them and dispute the charge. as for tracking... there may not be any tracking from California to Canada. there is no excuse for poor customer service.
...sounds like he did give them a chance. Sent them a couple of emails first, which is more than a lot of other people will do before 'slamming someone'. I appreciate that they're busy and trying to make it work, but if the customer service isn't there, then magazines and shirts don't get bought. And if they don't get bought, the magazine folds. Based on the emails, they coulda done a little more to address his issue... To the OP. Hope your shirts come through!
I bought one from them a while back. Got it right away with no issues. It did get a hole in it after the first wash, but I think it was from a moth or something, so it was probably my fault.
I'm not here to make an excuse cause there isn't one. When I replied to your email that it had been shipped is because we had shipped it. Don't know why it never showed up. Email me your address and I will ship you another shirt. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for the support! -Juan juan@deadendmagazine.com
so my shirts showed up finally... post marked Aug 15, when you replied that you had shipped the shirts it was Aug 3. Not saying you're a liar but the post mark from the US post office is a pretty good indication that something is fishy, 7.5 weeks to ship an order after you have pocketed the cash. Shame on you.
I recently mailed a bunch of t-shirts to various people across the US. I brought them to the post office August 9th. The Folks that actually recieved their t-shirts had postmarks of Aug 13th. I mailed them all priorty mail with a tracking number. There are still two t-shirts that were never delievered. The tracking numbers come back as no longer valid. Juan followed through and got you your shirt be glad....Not to mention your in Canada.
