We are expecting it to hit RI around Sunday AM...........................We're having a good ol' Clam Boil today and then start bolting everything down! Stay safe
Got to stay on the tug staring at 11am today till the storm is over. Wife and boys at home. House is stocked with food. Plenty of gas for the generator. We'll make it. Nice fat paychack too!!!
Hey Tugg be careful out on the water brother. I know they put the subs out to sea yesturday to weather the storm. Chuck
Here in Pennsylvania - I am west of Phila. We expect high winds !!!! Reminds me of description of a wild fun woman -- "She bangs harder than a storm door in a hurricane" As of 3pm -- Malls closing early/ Water hard to find / Gas stations BUSY--we are getting ready for the hit later tonight.

Hold on for a ride guys and gals I hope you all come thru ok and gods speed to all of you all have to worry about in the west is falling in the pacific
Got the 2x8's off the roof brackets, ladder is stowed away, patio furnature is in one area, plywood covered the big window & back door to the garage, nothing more to do outside. Next step is to place milk crates under things in the ba*****t to keep them above flood water. Real quiet now, we're about 20 miles inland from Long Island Sound, just p***ing the time, TV people are really talking it up.
wel after having to put the batt in, gas in the tank it started right up and drove into the garage but i forgot to connect the trans line to the cooler doh! on a side note anyone on the island with me who lives by the coast if you do not have a place to stay you and your family are welcome here im next to the l.i.e so i think im far from both side of the water to not drown
shuffled all the old cars and motorcycles around yesterday, got em all indoors! we'll see what kind of sun shower we get sunday morning ...time to go downstairs to work on the 32 now! edit: the volkswagens stay outside, they dont deserve indoor space!
Yeah man, it seems like the calm before the storm here in Bergen Co., NJ. Got all the important stuff/loose stuff away now i only hope the wooden gatage doesnt collaspe on the 51 Olds!! Good luck everybody!!
Stopped over Ted's today. he has his lean-to chained to a Buick. I did not have my camera, but I thought it looked cool I came home and strapped mine to the Kabota. Maybe we can get Ted to post a photo
I just got home from boarding up our 1955 trailer at the beach. its 14 ft above sea level, and 100 yards from the water. Its been in the family since 1969. I hope we still have it after the weekend. Carlg
Here in Richmond, we've been without power all afternoon and the wind is howling. Just like Isabel in 2004. Generator is cranking. Plenty of food and wine. We're hunkered down, doing ok, doing ok. Man, first an earthquake and now a hurricane. Sheesh.
Thoughts go out to all you out there, we've had rain for 3 days but nothing new there, always get rain. Take care and look after yourselves, your pets and your cars! Dan
Ready & waiting here in So. Jersey. Everything is indoors except for my Nova wagon. Got a generator & plenty of supplies. Hoping for the best. Make a right turn & go out to sea Irene!!!!!!!!!!!!!
