Good Luck Brother! I'm just on the other side of you next to New London, CT. My Buick is sitting in the Portable garage, hope it doesn't decide to take flight even though I have rebar pinning it to the driveway!

well the good news its practically parked over NC and it isnt moving very quickly. if it stays over land long enough its going to suck the life out of it....the only thing we can all do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. hunker down everyone...tonight and tomorrow is going to be an interesting one.

Wish we could send some of this rain water and cooler temps to Texas.
Had to drain down my pool already this afternoon.

Not to get you worried, but about 6 years ago, my ex-boss had a
porta tent/garage to cover his SUV. One nigt the wind came along at 30 MPH and blew it away. His neighbor said it lifted it like a parachute over a 7' fence. It was held down by cinderblocks.

You guys doing this may need to put more thought into it. Look at it this way. The more stuff covering your car, the more stuff that can fall or get tossed against it.

Raining hard and starting to get windy here in South Jersey. I think I got everything secure and all possible projectiles put away. We'll see what the morning brings. This thing sucks:mad:

They evacuated the house across the street. The roadster will be fine the tent may be gone but she will be rite where you left her. But i think it going to get a lil nasty around here

I am on the Eastern Shore of MD about 200 feet from the Chesapeake Bay.
The worst is due here in the middle of the night. I think my car projects are safe but I am worried about my boat. Hope everyone is ok over the next few days!

I probably would'nt have advertised on the internet for everyone to see that your roadster is basically in the wide open ready to be stolen...just sayin.

and that's why we have insurance. :p

Seriously, it's gonna get worse before it gets better. We're located in the town right next door to lorodz. No evacuations here but everything is tightened down as good as it can. From past experience I'm figuring lots of trees down and 3 to 5 days with no electricity.

Hey! it could always be worse....................

I'm on the Nassau-Suffolk border no real wind yet just rain.I put one of those portable garage's up for a block party anchored with cinder blocks, couldn't take it down the next morning, it got windy, I got a call at my shop early afternoon from my neighbor wind took it and the cinder blocks over my wife's o/t corvette with pearl paint and ghost flames, never touched the car. She said she saw the wind taking it, but she is only 95 lbs and was afraid to do anything, She said she watched it lift up and over the car after that first thing in the morning after the block party tent comes down.

just came from smiths point area had to go and check my roadster make shure it was ok ....even though the pop tent is in cinder blocks i didnt think it was enough so i parked a truck on either side of the tent, than took some really thick rachet straps and hooked one side to one truck front and back and same on the other side, if that thing blows away its gonna be connected to two trucks ..lol
but on the way back the rain picked up and the wind is massive my dodge was blowing all over the road not fun... on the l.i.e west bound i must have seen all of
    l i p a s, trucks on there way east ....

Good luck & prayers to ALL of you on that East Coast Area. Just got off the phone with one who lives in Hopewell Junction, N.Y. she's worried about rain & power outages.

Her brother is in Newtown, Conn. Lots of trees to fall on stuff, as well as power outages possible there.

Other friends in Philly that I am worried about.

Stay safe, evacuate if necessary, and, keep your families together...I pray that it ends soon with no harm done to you & yours.
