My friend Craig (Legend544 here on the HAMB) & I have been putting in quite a bit of time on his Shoebox Ford custom & needed a bit of "inspiration" to keep the ambition level tolerable , so the other night we pulled the trigger on the engine & fired it up ! That helped quite a bit . A little backstory on his ride : 1950 2-door Sedan (was an old drag car) 351 windsor H.O. truck engine w/c4 trans front disk brakes w/custom-mounted dual master shaved 1/4 seams , door handles & filled trunk peaked/filled/louvered hood 53 chevy grille custom rear roof vent modified 54 Olds side chrome Foxcraft cut-down Merc skirts and some other stuff I've forotten & more to come Anyways , here are a couple videos I shot - don't expect an Oscar-winning performance , lol !! http://youtu.be/DedGRNN97Wg http://youtu.be/lplHjUKA0Mg Once his is roadworthy , it's on MY shoebox custom !
Thanks guys ! Craig's still without power due to Irene , but I'm sure he'll chime in . He's dying to drive it around , I know . Scotty - what ya hear is actually Craig's son tearing up the yard in his go-cart . He runs the heck out of that thing . Mike - it was good to talk to ya last night . You need to post up some pics of YOUR Shoebox ... talk about inspiring ! Bruce - Craig's car (and mine) will get a mild french on the headlights - old school style . No tunnel , just subtle
Great feeling getting a new motor in a running. Like the roof vent and side trim. Whats next? Regards Dan
hey allen, i have no idea how to post pictures, i'm pretty much computer retarted. i'm lucky i can get on here to read stuff!
Thanks again ... I don't know exactly what's next - more wrapping stuff up , I guess . Then on to more custom stuff ... The rad is from a mid-60's Mustang . It seems to be doing OK so far , but the jury's still out on whether it'll be enough . Mike - we've gotta figure something out , cause you car will cause quite a stir !
