Here ya go folks, a few photos of my progress on Project "Half-Breed"...a special thanks goes out to Eric with Riley Automotive for putting up with me, and dealing with Speedway's ****...thanks bro... Dropped trans crossmember... New beefy motor mounts... '31 Whippet Grille Shell and Dietz style headlights... Mock-up of '40 Plymouth Steering box (the pitman arm won't be at that angle) Someone else's homemade Deuce style gas tank (swap meet find) mocked-up... Seat mock-up...kinda shows ya how small the interior is gonna be with this body... New shifter, new brakes and partially finished custom dash... That's gonna be one LONG hood... Yep, she's certainly ugly... Enjoy kids, I gotta get back to work on this baby...
My uncle has a '31 Plymouth 2 door that I've been salivating over for quite awhile. You're sticking with the parallel leaves? I thought that if I got the chance to work on that other '31 that I would probably go with a Ford transverse spring. Is there any specific reason for staying with the parallel leaves? Good job, and your attention to detail shines.
Johnny rocks! He started with some peices of what may have been a car at one time, and built himself a Hot Rod! I'm proud of you Johnny, see ya' tomorro.
The parallel leaf frontend is because it's a plymouth part, everyone does ford frontends...special thanks to ProEnfo for the front axle, Chuck rocks...Todd, don't remind me how fast May 31st is coming...just so you guys know, EVERY hole or rotten piece of sheetmetal will be replaced...
One last thing, picture this pile o **** in '56 Dodge Royal Blue, white firewall, white 'striping, blue interior and seat, white dash with blue 'striping...mmmm, pretty...
