The Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption Drags in Toutle WA were a gas! (The team that puts it on do an awesome job. Hats off!) Great weather, lots of engine music, clouds of smokin’ squeelin’ tires, and tons of old iron rippin’ up the track. But I was pissed-off part way into the day when all of a sudden everything comes to a screeching halt and some rich *** in million dollar bi-plane buzzes the strip. The returning draggers were completely ignored as everyone looks up to see this clown stall and dive his plane a dozen times over our heads. I didn’t wait all year to have half time entertainment! Hey, I love old planes, but not at “low buck/low et” drags. Let’s keep it pure. Don’t need no stinkin’ carnival….just old iron. Lots of low buck, hand built, old school iron. There, I’ve said my piece!

How often do you get to see a vintage plane buzz the track at low level ? I would bet most people thought it was cool.
