hamber Flipper has a pretty sick Chevy Flatbed - thanks for asking for pics, I am in 'thought' phase of doing mine
Me too. What got my attention was this early f-1 ford that was slammed and had a flatbed (sorry no pictures), i seen it at a local show. What helped it out was that it was all black, it had sheetmetal fabricated nicely under the flatbed so you dont see everything that is under there. Like your suspension, rearend, frame etc....
this is Flippers truck - he has a thread on here somewhere - He hid the under side too but with sticks - I dig the look
this is just bad ass - thinkk im gonna do something like this for tanks - wonder if I mount on both sides how difficult a fuel crossover would be (sorta like harley fatbob tanks)
1936 Ford Halftrack 1935 Ford Dually This was a 1 ton truck. Cut 4 feet out from the middle of the chassis. The body still uses the big truck fenders and running boards. Rides on bags with a Jag front end, and a f-350 rear.
Ford offered the 1/2 ton flatbed pickup first in 1937 and continued with them at least through 1952 or so. With an original bed and full size stakes all around they can be nice, very nice. Just odd enough to draw some glances of appreciation.
On The 35 Ford Flatbed with the Jag Front End, how did you get an 8 lug wheel on a 5 stud Jag pattern? thanks,, Im in the middle of doing a 41 ford 1.5 ton with the same issue, only solution I do most of the time is to use e350 ford spindles and machine out the original axles for the bigger e350 king pins. but, if there is a solution using a Jag front end I would prefer that route. thanks'
i may be mistaken.. but i think the front wheels on the 35 are chrome dually simulators.. a plastic cover.. maybe put over a normal wheel? if not, it could be a modified hub, or spacers with a different bolt pattern..
