You can view pictures in my albums of the build. For less than 50 bucks worth of 1/8 plate and about 25 hours time, you can build these extensions to hang a 32 tank in a model a with stock crossmember. The 32 frames are shortened at the front to about 2 inches short of the tank and are bent inward. The whole ***embly; tank, spreader bar, extensions are bolted together and hung from th rear of the subrail with threaded rod to adjust the side to side and up and up and down clearances. The stock 32 frame slopes at approx 8 degrees at the rear, with the frame level. Tack the fronts in place with some more temporary pieces and remove the tank. I also added a spreader in front of the tank to keep the spacing. The side rails are 3 1/2 inches high and go up, inward and over and down to a boxing plate at the front of the spring crossmember. So you don't have to remove the trunk floor to install. Make patterns of the side rail and tack them all up and remove to add the upper and lower lips. The new extensions carry most all the weight, but i added a tab at the lower lip of the spring crossmember for added support and keep the thing centered in the frame. I know this has been done many times before but thought I might try a different way other than adding a crossmember to the back side of the stock spring crossmember. Thanks for looking.
