The only reason anyone ever broke the types into cl***es was because whiners wanted trophies.

If it's going to cause all of the grief and hatred and problems those guys can push those little gold painted plastic cars deep into their own personal shady spots.

I once won a trophy for Best Mopar at a car show.I was driving my 55 Chevy.
    Locals voting for locals,ya know.
I go to swap meets with a car show attached and rarely walk the car show.

goose-em, I was just currious what the diff was so I can keep learning about this stuff, don't want to be stupid all my life, thought I was missing something and didn't get the memo.....it doesn't make any difference to me or my ride personally, it is what is, and labels won't change that.....after all my ride was called a nice Hudson by a "real" car expert and a nice antigue by another, still didn't change a thing.........

Went to a show last year where the sponsoring club didn't give a rat's *** about cl***es and announced "we give trophies to cars we like". They made it clear that cry baby trophy hunters could go F*** themselves and used the language uncensored. I dig the home made trophies. It's another way to exemplify our creativity and non conformity,

Yes, that is the original, correct definition. BUT it has been hacked and *******ized by the unwashed m***es. Much like term rat rod. Or Traditional. I prefer gathering, rather than 'Car Show'.

  9. Hot rod or lead sled covers all of them, to me, long as they aren't too new.

I never truely understood the reason why you would want to pay some one to judge your car for a chance to win a trophy but anyways ... Why Not throw them all in one cl*** and have a top 25 ? That would eliminate a lotta "cl***" BS ....

  12. JalopyRama and JalopyShowdown (both great shows) don't need no stinkin' trophys! If you go to a car show that worries about cl***es and trophys, be prepared for bullsh*t from either judges, other entrants or the public. IMO...trophys and cl***es ****,...BUT most car owners (antiques, hot rods or customs) including me, usually like to win at least one sometime, even if we won't admit it ;).
