looks like a '38 or '39 standard car clip on a late thirties truck cab?

Answer to post #51. Its a 1938-1939 Ford pickup cab with the rear of the pickup hood mated with the front of a 1939 Ford standard car hood and the rest of the 1939 Ford standard front sheet metal.
