I took the liberty of forwarding this little issue off to some "good friends" of mine in the Long Island area who like to go out for Sunday rides on their motorcycles.

Numbers are the same call if you want more detailed info I will not post here. I will report progress directly to you when it becomes available.

 

LOL Yeah, this boy has got to be special in a special way. If he starts an auction selling Bandidos ********s next, you can pretty much write him off.

 

That was a fine piece of performance art and calling you 'little' was just mean.

a skull with flames? since when is a skull with flames a ha symbol?
he only said it was bought at a ha show...

he is also ripping of iron maiden's eddie, that sure is something that could be easily sued for the iron maiden guys aswell,

 

Thanks again guys for all the advice and support.....It's not that I think my art is so ******* precious...it's just that I like to try to keep control over the tools we use to make a living, and to help others in whatever way we can...
For example, that He****fink image has been used to give royalties to the Roth estate, donate to animal adoption groups, the Red Cross, and even here as auction stuff......

 

It is dependant on what KIND of skull and flames. A direct side shot of a grinning skull with flames tailing off the back is a long time angel symbol. Plus the guy is infering via his ad that it is an HA related product. NOT a good idea.

I once met a ***** that, at the beginning of the last tattoo craze, had as genuine an HA flaming skull as I have ever seen unknowingly tattooed on his forearm. Unfortunately, I was the one that had to end up explaining it to him. He was one VERY surprised RUB. He said that he had 'seen it somewhere' and thought it was cool. That kind of thing is especially a bad idea down here as this is Bandidoland and things can be quickly and wrongly misconstrued.

 

The eBay item wasn't wasn't the copywritten Angels flaming skull..just a ****ty knockoff. But the 3 patchers are VERY particular where and when their name is used. I'm trying to contact a former 'friend' who might be able to get with somebody who may take an interest in the whole deal. Even if I'm sucessful, it might not help Johnny directly but it could put the skids to this ***hole selling non-copywritten merchandise.

If Gene was a HAMBer, he'd know by now, wouldn't he? It always blows me away as an artist when I see people using a copywritten image without altering it anyway and using it as there own...

the HA are very serrs with there trademarking they went after marvel comics for a female comic chick called Hells Angel as she was from hell & they won comic was killed off so sending any infringment stuff to HA peps would be good to do

Well, after pulling all of his stuff, he's got a few things back up. He's got one of the mousepads that he "bought" from the HAMC, and he's added a new disclaimer:

"...***DISCLAIMER: I'm not stating weather or not it belongs to the Hells Angels I'm just telling you where i got them and from who*** "

Somehow I just found that funny. Hopefully he won't be dumb enough to repost any of the stuff with Johnny's artwork on it!!
