Oklahoma boy made good. An inovator in the world of speed. R.I.P. and condolences to the family both immediate and extended. A friend recently bought a V8 Healy that had this air cleaner on it. Never seen one like it.
I am in awe of the life and times of Mr. Creitz and am sure he and Mr. Donovan are having quite a time bench racing. Godspeed Bob !
I also sent condolences on another thread here this morning.Happy to do it again as Bob was a very good friend for the past 40 years....He will be greatly missed by all..
The list of the good ones that are gone just keeps getting longer...........it's to be expected but it doesn't have to be good. Frank
just returned from BOBS services he got a big send off in excess 200 showed up . I knew BOB for 51 years going to miss him. I hope he is in a place were the nitro is free you never burn a piston or lift a blower
The Church Services for Bob were Packed, Long Time Racer and Car builder Tom Hanna gave the eulogy, I was hoping someone would tell a few stories about Bob, he was quite sarchastic at times, He, Bill Hartman and I took a trip to Austin Texas to run Hartmans Blown Alcohol Hydro, and the way down to Austin was quite a trip, Hartman "Lark" as he was known died in 86' the trip was interesting to say the least, on the way there, Bob told me some stories of his Days racing, one of the Best was he and Victor Brown were racing, and they Hurt the engine, Victor asked Bob if he could cripple him to the starting line, just get me to the Line he said, I can win this race, bob shrugged and said he'd try , they got the car started, and victor had taken a drink of water and had a half of a Akaseltzer , that he poped in his mouth just after getting the car started, as he rounded the tower, and started to line up, Victor turned to the other driver, and cracked his mouth open, and out came this Huge amount of foam from the water and Alkaseltzer, and the guy out Freaked let the clutch out Red Lighting, giving Bob and Victor the win.......
