I've been reading the blogs for some time and decided to join to get help with my project, a 1956 Crown Vic I got off of e-bay a year and a half ago. It was supposed to be a driver but was so wore out It ended up a complete project . My 1st . so now it being restored "one piece at a time" I am also new to using computers, forums and searches. I found and joined the 56 ford social club but cant seem to locate some of the items I need info on such as swaping to an AOD ******. Any body got suggestions on how to use or navigate the search?
    Thanks
    Duane

What engine are you running in your 56? There are adapters to bolt an AOD to the Y-block.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the link. as of now it will be a 1956 312 .30 over with 113 heads and 1957 intake, AFB carb and distributer. I just made a deal on a 91 t-bird with a 5.0 and AOD. I will use the AOD but not shure about the 5.0
