is running and drivable, the ideas start popping in my squash. :D

    1. What would it take to convert from column shift to floor shift on my c4?

    2. What is the purpose of a trans modulator with dual hose?

    3. How cool would a firewall mounted trans dipstick be?

Being crazy now? Maybe? Oh well

    Several options exist:
    stock sixties Ford floor shifter
    Lokar shifter
    Other aftermarket brands
Modify another manufacturers such as the Chevy horse shoe stlye

Looks like you have a 62?

1.I would personally think it would look cooler on the column the way it came, but thats just me.
2.Never heard of one,so I will be watching for someone elses reply.

3.unless its flexible it will pull out of the trans enough to at least leak when the engine rocks.

Maybe this will at least give your questions a bump to the top.

    Yup! 62. Running a 1978 200/c4 combo.
    Is converting easy?

Haven't done one (conversion) in 30 years but it wasn't too hard. Had a 65 Falcon at the time with 3 on the tree and went to C4. Used a 65 Mustang Auto floor shifter.

if you had a ford-o-matic you can modify detent plate on column shift arm to allow it to shift for a C4 pattern. I think one of my Fairlainer magazines has a pattern for it.

Getting ready to put a Lokar in a 63 in a few weeks. Installing a MII front suspension first though.

If you went to a floor shifter you would most likely want to use an aftermarket cable driven unit, maybe an old B&M floor shifter type. You have some tight spots under there and the cable unit would work best because you would not have to dilly with linkages and adapters.

In your case I like the column better.
