I put my Hot Rod drivetrain on Craigslist. It consist of a 1957 354 Hemi, (needs rebuilding), billet adapter, 727 auto trans and a 1968 Charger rearend with a posi. I had it posted for $3000. I have a guy wanting to trade me this 1956 2 door Chevy. I know I don't need another project. Should I trade or not. Opinions wanted

If you don't need another project...and IF the '56 car is not running, then no.

IF it does ride and drive, then examine it very closely...really can't see much in a pic...'56's are less desirable than '55 or '57's...

Think about how much one of your projects would benefit from that 3 grand...... ;)

Not from the looks of the car. I would hold out for the money.

  8. If you wanted that for a project, then I'd consider it. But since you said you don't need another project, then you already know the answer....

No way. Maybe the 56 and a buncha cash.

If that '56 is a solid Texas car, with seats and a ***le, it's probably worth what the drivetrain setup is priced at. But if you're just going to turn around and resell the '56, I don't see a profit being made there, unless there's more to the car than the pics show.
