What a great looking custom. I'm looking for more info on it, like perhaps what parts he used to nose it ... Thanks
Rick is a buddy of mine, and his kustom '50 Ford is one of the best. The front grill is a '51 Ford with the parking lights shaved and (I think) '55 Cadillac ***s. The grill opening itself is made out of tubing and sheetmetal. There's a ton of kustom work done to this car...I hope I'm not steppin on anybody's toes by replying here- I don't want anyone to think I did the work...I believe it was all done by the Drag N Shop, but Rick and two other friends of mine had just recently finished off the bodywork and shot it in hot rod flatz grey...
'48 Chevy Fleetline, I believe...perhaps some of the Drag N' Shop guys can jump in here and tell us more...
/\/\ i hope thats not true, would be a shame. Is that fender skirt molded into the qp (and I'm guessing the front edge is in the door jamb and top runs under the trim?) or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
Its one big skirt. This car has been around for a while. I saw it at Paso one year and they had one of the skirts off. Great looking car!!
Just so everyone knows the car was not wrecked. Mike was driving his GTI when he p***ed away back in April. The car is still being driving by myself and another good friend of Mike's. For now his mom is planning on keeping it in the family or at least in our club.
I remember him posting about the car when he got it, he was pretty proud! I love the custom work on this car...its a shame he didnt get to enjoy it for very long...
